One foster home saves two lives: the animal on your sofa, and the one who takes their place in our care. You provide the space and the company; we cover the rest.
Why fostering matters
Bubbles Pets Rescue is not a shelter. Our rescues wait in boarding facilities, veterinary clinics, and volunteers’ homes. A foster home teaches an animal what family life feels like, tells us everything adopters need to know, and frees up the space and funds that pull the next animal off the street.
How fostering works
1. Apply
A few quick selections about your home, routine, and how long you could foster.
2. We match
We suggest an animal who suits your space, schedule, and experience. You should never feel out of your depth.
3. Home time
Your foster settles in, usually within a week or two. You send weekly photos and videos that power their adoption profile.
4. Adoption day
We screen adopters and coordinate the handover with you. The goodbye is bittersweet, and it is the whole point.
What we cover
- Approved veterinary care, coordinated and paid through our partner clinic.
- Food and basic supplies whenever donations and stock allow.
- Advice and back-up on WhatsApp, from arrival to adoption day.
- Arrangements for the animal if you travel or your circumstances change. Just tell us as early as you can, ideally a week ahead.
What you give
- A safe indoor space. It does not need to be big; calm beats square footage.
- Daily food, water, and company, and patience while they settle.
- Weekly photo and video updates for their adoption profile.
- Honest observations. What you learn about them finds them the right home.
The important bit
Foster animals remain under the legal care and ownership of Bubbles Pets Rescue, microchipped and registered to the organisation. They must never be handed to anyone else without our approval. And if you fall in love, we celebrate foster fails: tell us before another adoption is confirmed, complete the adoption application, and your foster becomes family.
